How to Make Business Cards

Follow these simple steps on how to make business cards. Designing your own business cards is an inexpensive option and it is not difficult.
Using your home computer and MS Word you can create your own affordable and effective business cards. Here are easy to follow steps to make your own
business cards using MS Word. The process is the same in any version of MS Word but the commands may be slightly different.

- Create Labels Open the File menu in Word and select New. Click on the Tools
tab, then Letters and Mailings and then
Envelopes and Labels. Click on Labels and select Options.
- Set your Options Confirm the Label Products box says Avery standard.
In the Product number scroll down menu click on 5371 Business Card and then the OK box. You can also select 3612 Business Card which has margins for cutting which
may be easier for you to use.
- Create a Full Page In the Labels dialog box make sure you have marked the Full page
of the same label option. Click on the New Document tab on the right.
- Design your First Card Click on the first box and start designing your business card. To add a logo
or image first select Insert, then Picture and then From File. Find your graphic in your saved files and insert it. Adjust the graphic to the

- Add your text Select an appropriate
font and type in your text. This should include your contact details such as name, business address, email address, fax and phone number.
You can format your text in the box by highlighting the relevant text and using Bold, Center commands etc.
- Create a border A light border on the table helps when you cut the cards out. Go to
Table and click on Select, then Table. Go to Format and select Borders and Shading. In the Borders tab click
on Grid. Select the color you want in the Color dropdown menu and the width you want. Click OK.
- Make another card Once your business card is set up the way you want it then click and drag to highlight it, copy and
paste it to the next cell and so on. Proofread carefully. Use the print preview command under File to see how the
business card will look. Save your business card design when you are happy with it.
- Print your business cards Print the cards on to suitable paper. Either use
